Now that it’s snowing, time for winter running survival clothing

Disclaimer: I started writing this when IT WAS snowing, now I just sound plain crazy. Oh well. Also, I’m momentarily obsessed with LuluLemon and all their ingenious clothing features!

LuluLemon Winter Running Gloves
I like the embossed manifesto.  And these come in 2 different sizes, the S-M were perfect!

LuluLemon Headwrap
I have teal and black.  I sort of wish I had that bright yellow, hmmm.

Pro-Tec IT Band Wrap
My IT band issues seem to be under control.  I attribute that to strength training, pilates, and this little sucker.

LuluLemon WindSprint Running Jacket
This has 3 coolest ever features: 1. a hood that actually stays on your head because it has a PONYTAIL CUTOUT! ::o-m-g squeal::  Yup, it’s a ponytail cutout that helps hold your hood in place so your ears and head stay warm plus it doesn’t f up your hair.  Cool!  Feature #2, these “cuff-ins” that are like back up mittens.  The cuffs unfold to cover your fingers if it turns out your forgot/lost your gloves in the bitter cold.  #3 coolest feature is a back side pocket to store your ipod/iphone/zune and the ipod headphones cable management element that goes through that pocket!  Spendy but oh so super awesome!  I may get myself a second it’s that cool.

LuluLemon Cozy Kicks Runnings Tights
These match the running jacket above.  They have a brush fleeced interior finish, need I say more?

Drymax sport socks (Hot weather running variety)
Don’t let the technical nature of their site scare you off.  The demo they do with a tub of water at expos is just too cool.  I didn’t spend much time on their site but it looks like they have videos of the demo where they dip the socks into a tub of water, pull them out, flip them inside out, pat them onto a paper towel and no water comes out!  That’s because the water is stored on the outside of the sock and the inner fibers are hydrophobic, thus keeping the water away from your feet! :)  No more squish squish between my toes.  I threw out (donated) all my other running socks.  These are *that* fantastic.  The guys are pretty cool too-we see them at most of our expos, haha.

Brooks Adrenaline ASR (All sport something or other)
Not on my list for their looks (I prefer the non-grey varieties), but these are very supportive (a must for these gotta-see-them-to-believe-them flat feet).  They’re weatherized and water-resistant.  The Drymax plus these make me worry free during these dreary raining December days.
