Adding to the wishlist—Rachel Leigh Jewelry

I’ve been sick and tired, quite literally for the past 4 days.

I came back from Paris and had to dive back into the work, so no pictures yet (haven’t even uploaded them-arg!).

But I needed a little Vitamin D, so Summy and Jeremy joined me this afternoon for a stroll through Gtown :)  Nothing like retail therapy to make this cold go away:P

At Urban Chic, I stumbled across this Rachel Leigh Jewelry.  I’m not much for non-real jewelry pieces and accessories.  While I can definitely admire and swoon over cutesy items that my friends wear, I’m more of a wear the same basic classics every day kinda girl (same watch, necklace, rings, bracelets, etc.).

But, branching out might be a good thing when there are pieces like this…

Happy Birthday to the Sunshine(s) of my life

Jeremy and Summy share a birthday (I swear, the vet decided this 3 years ago…not me)!

Our dinner plans, to go to Hook, felt a bit stuffy and planned.  I talked Jeremy into picking up a lobster pot “to-go” from their neighbor and sister locale, Tacklebox.  Mmmmmm!

When we got home, rushing to catch Gossip Girl (I mean Monday Night Football) we plopped down at the bar to eat.  Unbeknowngst to us, the lobster pot “to-go” holds the ingredients for a tastey lobster meal…to be cooked.  That critter was crawling around in the pot the whole walk home along M Street!  Scary!  Can you tell seafood is still new to me?  Once Jeremy jumped back to tell me there was a live lobster waiting to be cooked (which neither one of us has ever done before), you would’ve thought there was a giant pot of tarantulas and scorpions in our kitchen.  I hungout in the living room until that sucker was well done thank you very much.

Back to the birthday kids, we had a simple birthday celebration.  The big kid party was postponed due to exhaustion, poor planning (that’s me, boo), and bad weather.  Top Golf, we will own you soon!

Pictures tell the story best:

Back from NYC–just missed the storm :)

Help a lady out

If I paid you to wear a shirt with one of the sayings in the survey, pick your favorite three! Thanks!

Quite the eventful weekend
